Plant data | Fill in referring data |
Name |
Plant's installed capacity in MWp |
commissioning date |
Location and outline of area to be inspected ideally in .kml /.kmz file (important if plant is not yet visible in google maps) |
Any obstacles (towers, power lines, airport nearby...) |
is there a no-fly zone? check it here: https://fly-safe.dji.com/nfz/nfz-query |
Planned date of drone flight |
Feed in Tariff (optional, used for financial loss estimates) |
2. Drone Information
Drone data | Fill in referring data |

ONLY IF NOT USING VOLAFLY APP (not recommended): |
3. Solar Plant - Technical Parameters
Technical Parameters | Data |
Datasheet or photo of PV module nameplate |
Technical drawing of the plant in PDF format (optional, can be used as an overlay to the analysis) |
Type of system? | fix mount 1-axis tracked 2-axis tracked |
Inclination of tables in case of fix mount systems (in [°]) |
Number of modules connected in a string |
3.1 Technical Parameters - For Soiling Inspections
BELOW HERE IS ONLY RELEVANT FOR SOILING ANALYSIS:
Technical Parameters | Data |
ONLY FOR SOILING: Is Solar Irradiance measured in the solar field? Preferably plane of array. If no irradiance data is provided, constant conditions during flight are assumed that potentially lead to inaccuracies. |
ONLY FOR SOILING: it is necessary to clean at least 4 modules of each module type in you solar field before the drone flights. |
ONLY FOR SOILING: Dimensions of module length and width in [mm] |
3.2 Technical Parameters - Detailed IEC 62446-3
BELOW HERE IS ONLY RELEVANT FOR IEC 62446-3 COMPLIANT INSPECTIONS:
Technical Parameters | Data |
ONLY FOR IEC: Is plane-of-array (POA) irradiance measured in the solar field during the drone flight? A pyranometer or calibrated reference cell is required. Without this data, IEC 62446-3 compliance cannot be confirmed. |
ONLY FOR IEC: Is ambient temperature measured near the array during the drone flight? A calibrated sensor in shade is required. |
ONLY FOR IEC: Is wind speed logged during the drone flight? Must remain below 5 m/s throughout the measurement. |
ONLY FOR IEC: Please provide all sensor data as timestamped CSV or similar format, logged at minimum 1-minute intervals covering the full flight window. Upload alongside drone imagery to the Volateq analysis. |
