DJI Matrice 350 RTK H20T/H30T: Drone configuration and flight execution with DJI Pilot 2 (to be moved to VKB)

The DJI M350RTK H20T/H30T is compatible with Volafly. We strongly recommend installing the app on your drone controller. Flight routes will be synchronized automatically, data uploaded to the right places and the settings described below will be automatically put in place by Volafly.

The following settings are mandatory to successfully carry out Survey measurements in CSP/PV plants and must also be considered before doing the camera calibration

Pre-flight check

  1. check flight mode and battery

  2. check storage (recommended to format SD card before an new analysis)

  3. Max flight distance (depends on size of the solar field)

  4. Max Altitude (150 - 180 m (depends on legislation limits, elevation model of the plant and start position of the drone)

  5. Obstacle avoidance (usually ON!)

Visual Camera view

  1. Select Video as Camera Mode.

  1. After each re-boot or battery swap camera settings are lost. you always have to set the EV (exposure correction) for both visual video streams (Wide & Zoom)

    1. for CSP inspection to -1.7

    2. for PV inspection to 0.0

  2. make sure all three video steams are active and there is sufficient storage

  3. Do not use

    1. Auto exposure

    2. AE lock: Never activate! (Lock should be open)

    3. Auto camera  → never switch to manual (will corrupt exposure settings)!

    4. Link (this will completely corrupt videos)!

  1. Activate three video streams “Current View”, “Wide Video” and “Infrared Video”. NOT “Zoom Video”.

    1. low (40°C - 550°C) for PV & CSP inspection
