How to define and apply custom parameters

Apply custom nomenclature

In map view of your plant, when clicking on a single component or select multiple components using shift+mouse, you can see the “Observations” button in the module pop-up menu:

By clicking it you can set the pre-defined nomenclature fields for the current selection:

The naming will appear in the header for this component when it’s clicked.

Note: If you want to assign names for entire regions of solar fields, select these regions on tracker level, not module level. That is much faster. see top right of the screen.

Custom observations

If a single component is selected, you can add text comments or upload files and photos to that component. On mobile devices you can take and upload pictures directly.

Additionally you can define your own observation parameters. There are many options to chose from according to your needs. After defining the parameters, they will be available in the observation window just as the nomenclature fields.

Define a new observation for one of your assets

in “plants” menu → click “plant settings” , the settings wheel that appears when hovering over the plant name in the list below:

in the plant settings window, you can create new Component properties by clicking on “ADD COMPONENT PROPERTY”

In the pop-up window, you can set the details of what you want to track.

First, chose the component type: i.e. do you want to add notes and parameters for single modules, tables (“trackers”) or subfields?

Select the datatype you want to define: numeric, free text, checkbox or options (drop-down with several values).

After clicking “create”, you will see the full list of observations for that plant, including the recently added one:

View custom parameters

To view the custom set parameters, first go to the noteboard symbol in the left menu bar.

Then select the parameter to be displayed:

In standard plant view, you will see the custom parameters in the legend, bottom left and in the pop-up window for the component. From here you can edit the parameters properties:
